I have been tracing my mothers (Stephens) side of the family since 1998 and until recently (8/17/08) I have been stuck on
William Stephens, Sr. of Wood Co., West Virginia.
Fellow Stephens researcher Wayne Lee changed all that when he contacted me with information he believes is relevant. Wayne
believes his John C. Stephens is the brother of my William Stephens Sr. If this proves correct then we move back from brothers
John and William to their father, Thomas who's father was John who's father was Evan. And here we are.
